Some people have special needs when it comes to air conditioning; they need to feel the freeze. Crystal Air™ was developed for them.

Our tests have shown that depending on the configuration of the evaporator, air supplied from this unit to the vents of the coach is 35F- 45F lower than the outside air temperature. This is at temperatures up to 118F! On average, this is at least 15F colder than many of the best coaches on the road today.

We have tested this system, under best case scenarios, and have measured air coming out of the vents at 48F while the outside temperature was 118F – a difference of 70F! You will quickly and easily feel the cold with Crystal Air™.
 
Who Needs Crystal Air™?
The stock air conditioning on a Workhorse W20, W22 and W24 is good for most, but like volume on a stereo or hot sauce on tacos, some people want to kick it up a notch. This system is made for those who want to take their current air conditioning up to a whole new level.
 
What is in this Kit?
An additional condenser and dual fan assembly providing for double the condensing capacity, a new slower turning compressor, expansion valve and a controller.

Special Features of Crystal Air™

• The controller – the controller has logic to detect problems and isolate components of the system to prevent further damage, saving repair time and money. It also can be hooked up to a computer to help speed diagnoses of the unit. In addition, the controller measures outside and inside air temperature to determine what level of R134a flow is optimal so the A/C system always works at peak efficiency.
• Variable Control Expansion Valve – this is patented and one of a kind. The expansion valve opens or closes to maximize efficiency depending on conditions. Add this to the controller and you have an A/C unit that delivers the best it can from the prevailing atmospheric conditions.
• 25,000 BTU/hr compressor

IMPORTANT - This kit should not be used on RV’s that use an Evans Tempcon Evaporator assembly. The kit can only be used on RV’s that have SCS or Denso evaporator.

Before ordering please have the vehicle's VIN number ready, as well as check the coach to determine that the evaporator fitted is not an Evans Tempcon evaporator assembly. To find out what evaporator is fitted to the coach, look at the evaporator and label as shown in the picture.
